What it takes to drive with XVIA

Review the licenses, vehicle standards and documents we ask of every independent transportation provider before you apply.

Driver & vehicle

Requirements

Qualifying trim, configuration and local approval are confirmed during the review of your application.

  • Valid driver’s license

    A current U.S. driver’s license in good standing.

  • TLC driver license

    A for-hire (TLC) driver license valid for the areas you serve.

  • Vehicle TLC plate & license

    One of these combinations: NY TLC plate + Westchester County TLC vehicle license, or Westchester County TLC plate + Westchester County TLC vehicle license.

  • Vehicle model year

    Black and Elite SUV: 2022 or newer. XL: 2020 or newer. Models without a version from those years do not qualify.

  • Black and Elite SUV standards

    Black exterior and black leather or vegan leather interior, with no mechanical or cosmetic defects.

  • Commercial auto insurance

    Commercial auto insurance and current registration for the vehicle.

  • Clean title

    Vehicles must not have, or have previously held, a salvage, rebuilt or reconstructed title — in any service category.

  • Driver rating

    Where applicable, a driver rating of at least 4.85.

  • Professional presentation

    Courteous, punctual and well-presented, with a clean vehicle.

Documents

Documents you’ll upload

PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB each. Only your driver’s license is required to apply; the others apply if you hold them or drive your own vehicle.

  • Driver’s license

    Front of your current license.

  • TLC license

    Your for-hire license, if you have one.

  • Vehicle insurance

    Commercial insurance card or policy.

  • Vehicle registration

    Current registration of your vehicle.

How we handle your documents

Documents are stored privately, outside the public website, and only authorized XVIA staff can open them. Documents of declined applications are deleted automatically after the retention period.
